The Faculty of Business and Law is home to over 7000 students enrolled on undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes across a broad variety of academic areas. We are seeking an Employer Engagement Manager to work within the Faculty Employability Support Team. This team focus on maximising the employment prospects of our graduates by supporting and arranging employer-based and work-related learning opportunities and by assisting students in securing suitable employment upon graduation.
This role will involve developing and managing relationships with a network of business partners in order to generate and maximise the opportunities for students to get real-world work exposure during their programmes of study. This will primarily focus upon working with employers to generate opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students to complete employer-led live projects and short placements during their course.
Key to this role is the effective management and development of relationships with business contacts across a variety of sectors in order to generate and maximise the networking, project and employment opportunities for our students. The successful applicant will have previous experience of successful business development and account management and will be able to demonstrate effective client relationship skills. They will be a self-starter who is proactive, customer focused, highly-organised and able to communicate with a broad range of people.
