Based at Jodrell Bank Observatory and as part of the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics, you will work as a post-doctoral research associate to work with scientists and technical staff to commission a new phased array feed on the Lovell telescope. This is also an exciting opportunity to undertake early science experiments with the new instrument. You will also contribute to the development of a new cryogenic phased array feed prototype for the Lovell telescope as part of our ongoing contribution to future technology development for the Square Kilometer Array Telescope.

You will hold, or be about to obtain, a PhD in pulsar astronomy or related field, and will have experience with commissioning of astronomical instruments and working with digital signal processing.
