Kingston University is seeking outstanding individuals to join its Board as Governors. As the largest higher education provider in South West London, Kingston has students from over 140 countries and an annual income of around £200 million. The role of Governor provides an important opportunity to contribute to the shape and development of the University at an exciting time for higher education, especially with significant changes in student funding and the broader political landscape. Successful candidates will support the University’s values and have an understanding of governance, and the skills, intellect and outlook to contribute effectively as members of a high calibre board.
The University is keen to hear from candidates who can offer particular expertise in one or more of the following areas: finance; audit; academic governance; social mobility and student outcomes; digital technology; marketing and communications; or who have academic experience at a senior level in higher education. All Board Members are expected to sit on at least one committee, but there is a particular need to appoint people with an interest in the following roles: Chair of Audit Committee, Chair of Academic Governance Committee and Finance Committee member.
