Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in a field related to biomedical science, preferentially related to pain medicine. They should also have substantial postdoctoral experience in laboratory-based pain research, with an excellent track record of high-quality publications in the related areas. Excellent knowledge of statistics and writing skills are required. Success in research grant application would be an advantage. Preference will be given to those with proven capacity to contribute to interdisciplinary and collaborative research in pain research with other research institutes in Hong Kong and overseas. The appointee will need to have a strong commitment to helping the Department develop and advance research programmes related to other pain related research projects. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
