We are looking to appoint a Student Inclusion Officer with a strong commitment to inclusive practice and a good understanding of the connection between equality and diversity, and student issues in higher education.

This is an exciting new opportunity to play a key role in the University’s commitment to an inclusive learning environment where all our students can flourish. The role focuses on improving the experience, engagement and support for the University’s home BAME students. They will also lead the development of the BAME Ambassador programme, delivering student-led engagement activities.

You will be a strong relationship builder with experience and knowledge of inclusion or widening participation.  Particular experience or personal knowledge of working with stakeholders or students (or similar) from the BAME community would also be an advantage.

You will have a positive and solution focused approach to the challenges and opportunities for developing this area of work and be capable of influencing and advising a wide range of staff on inclusive practice. You will also be capable of leading and developing a team of student workers to deliver events and activities for their peers.

If you are keen to join a service that is creative, motivated and focused on making a difference to students, then we look forward to hearing from you.

For any informal enquiries please contact Zoe Pither, Student Inclusion Manager zoe.pither@bristol.ac.uk

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world’s leading universities.
