THE INSTITUTE OF BIORESOURCE AND AGRICULTURE (IBA)
The Institute is newly established under the Faculty of Science. It serves as a knowledge hub that engages in bioresource conservation and sustainable agriculture, promotes and offers professional and public education in sustainable consumption, bioresource and organic agriculture.
SINO-FOREST APPLIED RESEARCH CENTRE FOR PEARL RIVER DELTA ENVIRONMENT (SINO-FOREST ARCPE)
The applied research centre aims at improving the environmental quality of Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta region. Major research focuses include: waste management, composting, anaerobic digestion, bio-products from waste, microbial fuel cells, and agricultural research.
The IBA and Sino-Forest ARCPE are now seeking talented researchers for the following position in the research areas of soil plant growth promoting substance, utilization of organic inputs, fertilizer and composting, and molecular approach on soil plant relationship.
Appointees are expected to conduct research and consultancy work under supervision, and to assist in writing research paper manuscripts and research proposals.
Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Environmental Biotechnology, Soil Science or related disciplines. Effective communication skills with good command of both spoken and written English is essential.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
