Multiple Open Faculty Positions in School of Mathematical Sciences at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China

The School of Mathematical Sciences at Zhejiang University invites applications for tenured and tenure track positions in all areas of mathematics. The school engages in developing outstanding research in both pure and applied math, and anticipates a significant growth in the next few years. In particular, the school will have a number of available positions at all ranks and the starting date for each position may be flexible.

Founded in 1897, Zhejiang University is one of China's oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education. The university campus is located in the city of Hangzhou, approximately 180 kilometers southwest of Shanghai. The university is home to a large number of active research programs and national key research labs in natural sciences, social sciences and medical sciences. Demands in both mathematics education and collaborations steadily increase across the campus, which offers many opportunities of professional development to mathematics faculty in both methodological research and interdisciplinary collaborations.

The successful candidates will find a supportive and intellectually challenging academic environment at Zhejiang University. Excellence is essential in both research and teaching (mandarin is not required). Various national, regional and university-wide programs are available to support and facilitate the research of candidates.
