The School of Art, Design and Computer Science is a creative and vibrant community providing exciting opportunities for students to explore their subject and achieve their potential. We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to work alongside our Academic team to support students learning and understanding of the technical aspects of Games Design.
BA (Hons) Games Design is situated within a collaborative programme suite. This shared focus on creation situates the programme at the leading edge of practice and provides opportunities for students to extend their work across graphic design, animation, product design, Interior Design and furniture design as well as collaborating with other disciplines across the School of Art, Design and Computer Science, and the wider University.
We are seeking to appoint a Technical Specialist to play a role in the teaching, learning, and development of Games Design as well as contributing more widely across Art & Design. The successful applicant will have a passion for Games Design and have a strong technical knowledge and experience of Games Design/Development skills including experience and knowledge of a range of Games development software, in particular Unity (UE4 advantageous), Maya and Adobe CC suite. A knowledge of C sharp and/or visual scripting would also be beneficial. They will also have the drive and experience to enable students to develop as skilled, creative and critical practitioners.
