The University is conducting a global recruitment for the position of Vice Rector (i.e., Vice President or Pro-Vice Chancellor) responsible for the administration. The Vice Rector (Administration) will deputize for the Rector to lead and oversee the University’s administration and other designated functions including but not limited to Finance, Human Resources, Campus Management and Development, Information Communication and Technology to fulfill the University’s mission. 

The successful candidate is expected to assume duty in 2021.

The successful candidate should have the following credentials: 

  1. An earned degree in management or related disciplines; possession of an advanced degree would be an advantage;
  2. A minimum of 10 years of extensive experience at managerial positions, preferably in higher education;
  3. Demonstrable competence in strategic planning, operation management, financial management and budgeting, problem solving and crisis management;
  4. Good knowledge of relevant local laws and policies;
  5. Good track record in a complex and dynamic environment involving Government-Institution relations; 
  6. English is the working language, while knowledge in Chinese/Portuguese will be an advantage.

Remuneration
Remuneration will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
