We are looking for two university learning technologists to join our Academic & Learning Enhancement team, which supports a culture of continuous educational enhancement across the university. One of the team’s current priorities is to support the effective use of technology-enhanced learning across the university in line with the digital and student success strategies. The university learning technologists will make a major contribution to this objective by providing advice, guidance, CPD and support for the use of learning technologies, blended and online learning both across the university and to partner institutions as required. They will explore, evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies to enhance the student learning experience; and promote the use of blended learning and appropriate technologies to enhance student success. They will do so through collaboration with faculty-based learning technologists.

Responsibilities will include designing and providing workshops and seminars as part of our CPD and PGCertHE programmes; designing, disseminating and evaluating learning resources; holding consultation discussions with schools about their use of technology-enhanced learning; identifying and disseminating good practice; evaluating the use of learning technologies and making recommendations; serving on relevant committees and supporting the development of policies, guidance and strategies relating to learning technologies.

You will be educated to a degree level or have equivalent qualifications or experience and have experience supporting the use of learning technologies, working collaboratively and presenting work. You will have the ability to promote new ways of working with technology, to design and deliver workshops and learning resources, to evaluate institutional and own practice and identify possible enhancements, to identify and disseminate good practice, assess the potential of new technologies and to support inclusive and accessible practice.

The post will be based at the outstanding World Heritage Site of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. This is permanent position, and the role attracts London Weighting and salary related local government pension.
