Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (PR0177/21-22)

The appointee is expected to conduct cutting-edge academic research, teach courses and supervise students’ projects/dissertations/placement at undergraduate and postgraduate degree levels and contribute to the work of the Department as appropriate. He/She should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: (i) social work theory and practice; (ii) mental health; (iii) application of innovative approaches in practice; (iv) smart society and wellbeing; and (v) social innovation.

Requirements:

Applicants should possess a relevant doctoral degree, a track record of research and tertiary teaching experience. They should also have substantial publication record in international refereed journals, and solid experience in course teaching, research students supervision, programme administration/development and academic administration.   

This is a tenure-track position with initial appointment on a fixed-term contract of two to three years commencing September 2022. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Tenured appointment is expected to be attained within six years. Outstanding candidates at Associate Professor or Professor rank may be considered for tenure on appointment.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
