Position Overview

The ANU node of the ARC Centre of Excellence in Plant Energy Biology is seeking an experienced Research Fellow to develop and manage new funding initiatives, policy papers and communication strategies relevant to the Centre of Excellence in Plant Energy Biology, the broader Plant Science Community in ANU, Canberra, Nationally and Internationally. Thus, this is a unique position bringing together skills, expertise and detailed knowledge of plant science research, policy, and management.

We are seeking someone with a proven track record in plant science research and policy, together with experience in the leadership of plant science societies and networks. The successful applicant will have the requisite skills, networks, knowledge, initiative and drive to bring together individuals across science and policy disciplines to develop networks, grants and research programs.

The successful applicant would hold a pivotal leadership role particularly with respect to:

Engaging with and helping develop the mission and objectives of Plant Energy Biology within the ANU, Canberra, National and International scientific and policy communities and other stakeholders. Increasing and accelerating the participation and support for Plant Energy Biology via communication with a wide range of stakeholders. Increasing the resources contributed to Plant Energy Biology.
