Job Description
The job is a research fellow position in theoretical physics at the Centre for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will perform theoretical studies of quantum optical systems for the purpose of designing novel quantum technologies and improving global timekeeping. These studies will involve both analytical theory as well as computationally intensive numerical simulations. Additionally, the successful candidate will manage PhD students who will be working on a diverse range of problems in quantum optics.
Job Requirements
The job requires a PhD degree in physics and extensive research experience in theoretical quantum optics. The candidate also must have already authored multiple papers in theoretical quantum optics. Proficiency in several computing languages is also required, including Mathematics, a high-level programming language like Python or MATLAB, and a language amenable to high-speed computation like C++. Additionally, the job requires the ability to work well in teams and strong scientific leadership skills.
