Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Research Fellow within UCD School of Medicine.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated biostatistician to join UCD Clinical Research Centre, a leading academic clinical trials unit in Ireland. UCD Clinical Research Centre has a proven track record of supporting both investigator and industry-initiated research across a wide range of specialties.

The purpose of this post is to provide statistical expertise to clinical investigators conducting clinical trials or observational studies, including support in relation to study design, conduct, analysis and reporting. We are looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful and highly organised person who is able to work independently, manage their own workload and work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Applicants will possess excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

The post-holder will have the opportunity to gain experience in handling clinical datasets and advance their methodological skills. Depending on the interests and skills of the post-holder, the role could focus on a combination of methodological research and applied analyses. The purpose of the role is to deliver a specific research project.

The role allows the Research Fellow the professional development opportunity to demonstrate the capacity for independent and self-directed research and scholarship and the management of a research team.

The role allows the Fellow to assemble a portfolio of independent achievement and render themselves competitive for tenured academic positions or senior scientific roles in industry.

Fixed Salary: € 56,368 per annum
