About the Centre for Quantum Technologies

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) is a research centre of excellence in Singapore. It brings together physicists, computer scientists and engineers to do basic research on quantum physics and to build devices based on quantum phenomena. Experts in this new discipline of quantum technologies are applying their discoveries in computing, communications, and sensing.

CQT is hosted by the National University of Singapore and also has staff at Nanyang Technological University. With some 180 researchers and students, it offers a friendly and international work environment.

Job Description

 

To assist in research in the area of quantum optimization. The candidate will assist in the development of quantum algorithms to tackle problems in the area of quadratic optimization and applications. He will be performing analytical and numerical work, present the work in conferences and publish in peer review journals.

 

Job Requirements

 

 A MSc in Physics, strong numerical skills and strong background in quantum computing. Knowledge of quantum programming languages and experience in working in quantum optimization. Strong collaborative skills and ability to work on a team with tight project deadlines
