Salary package: $82,371 - $94,817 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Two continuing contingent funded part time positions available until 31 December 2024

  • 1 x part time position (21 hrs per week) available in Southern NSW (Eurobodalla, Bega or Cooma) 
  • 1 x part time position (21 hrs per week) available in Northern NSW (Goulburn, Cowra or Young)

Position overview

ANU has an international reputation for research and education relevant to the health and well-being of the population of Australia, as well as that of the developing world. This is achieved through discovery research, applied research in health service settings, research-led teaching in health and medical sciences, and the translation of research findings into practice and policy. The ANU College of Health and Medicine comprises the Research School of Psychology, the ANU Medical School, the John Curtin School of Medical Research and the Research School of Population Health. These schools work together to deliver world-class research and education across the spectrum of medicine and health-related fields, working in partnership with the health sector at local, national and international levels.

The Rural Clinical School (RCS) is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health. By providing positive rural experiences, the School aims to encourage medical students to persue a career in Rural Clinical practice. The School also provides support to the local communities and the health professionals who are working in these communities. The Rural Clinical Education Coordinator is responsible for the management of the RCS educational program and the coordination of administrative processes associated with the delivery of the program and all activities related to the programs student life cycle including the placement of students in general practices throughout south-east NSW.

The RCS team is distributed across SE NSW as well as ANU Campus. The Rural Education Coordinator works under the direction of the Rural Clinical School  Manager, and the RCS Head managing the RCS educational program and RCS staff  in their area. The position works closely with all stakeholders in the rural program including students, academic and professional staff, practice managers, Local Health Districts (LHD’s) and supports medical , education and community organisations.
