Job Description
You will be part of the NUS Heritage Working Group (HWG) within the NUS Libraries, reporting to the Associate Provost (Undergraduate Education) to advance and manage exhibitions and projects related to NUS history and heritage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the HWG team in duties related to the development, advancement and coordination of exhibitions related to NUS history and heritage
- Work closely with a diverse interdisciplinary team including university librarians, faculty members, curators, research assistants and other departments and partners to set up, curate and publish exhibitions on physical and digital platforms
- Undertake research on existing heritage assets held by the different faculties and departments of NUS
- Review and ensure the collection of data is accurately maintained and updated
- Demonstrate strong ability in harnessing the research repositories related to NUS heritage in conceptualising HWG programmes
- Support the HWG team in the conceptualisation and execution of heritage exhibitions, walking trails and heritage conservation guides to tell the history of NUS and to build up the NUS identity
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required

Qualifications
- Interested in promoting and advancing exhibitions and projects related to the conservation and promotion of NUS history and heritage
- Current students enrolled in a Masters’ or PhD programme in Asian studies, history or related humanities and social sciences discipline are invited to apply
- Good analytical and critical thinking skills when reviewing and articulating research data
- Excellent spoken and written English, and able to provide clear communication and present ideas effectively
- Strong organisational, project management and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with the team and the necessary partners
- Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
