Job Description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is looking to recruit Research Engineer to work on a research project on benchmarking earthwork processes, and evaluating the impact of automation on these processes. This project aims to develop a model to measure the productivity of excavation, and developing automated computer vision based systems to measure earthwork excavation productivity. The candidates are expected to work on designing the overall system and developing advanced computer vision based models, with predictive analytics to support the benchmarking process.

Qualifications

• At least a good Bachelors in Civil Engineering, or related field from a reputable university
• Good Knowledge of computing using Python, Matlab, or other programming languages
• Knowledge of working with point clouds and image processing libraries
• Good Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM)
• Knowledge of construction simulation
• A strong publication record
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
