Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref: 511338), to commence on February 15, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related discipline; and strong proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese). Frontline social work and/or research experience in individuals with risks of self-harm/suicide and psychosocial interventions is essential.  Knowledge and experience in using mixed research methods are highly preferred.  The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities on interventions for mentally distressed individuals and/or on other research projects.  He/She will conduct data collection, data analysis and drafting of reports; and perform other duties as assigned.  He/She will have ample opportunities to work with social workers and other stakeholders in the local community. Applicants without a Ph.D. degree but possess a Master’s degree with at least one year of post-qualification experience may be appointed as Senior Research Assistant.
