Post-Doctoral Research fellow / Senior Research Associate / Research Associate / Senior Research Assistant (PR0431/21-22)

The appointee is expected to conduct research projects in the areas of Chinese Medicine drug discovery, and neurodegenerative diseases namely Alzheimer’s disease focusing mainly on the mechanism of small molecules on autophagy and other degradative pathways. The appointee will be responsible for literature review, data analysis and conducting in vitro and in vivo experiments with added knowledge in grant writing and article drafting.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree, or master's degree in Molecular biology or related disciplines like Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Physiology and Biotechnology with 1 to 2 years of relevant lab experience. Those with good wet lab research experience in Hong Kong will be preferred. The appointee should also have excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese. The appointee should also have an added knowledge of article writing and grant drafting for the further continuation of the projects.

Applicants with less qualifications and/or experience will be considered for the post of Senior Research Associate/Research Associate/Senior Research Assistant.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
