Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 509147), to commence as soon as possible, on a two- to three-­year fixed­-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess: (i) a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in statistics, epidemiology, or related disciplines; (ii) distinguished academic credentials and strong research track record; (iii) demonstrated ability to foster interdisciplinary research; and (iv) proven experience in teaching and supervising postgraduate students. The appointee is expected to contribute to the established strengths of the School in various public health research programmes in the fields of biostatistics and infectious diseases epidemiology. He/She will conduct high-impact research, lead advanced analytics of complex datasets, publish original research articles in impactful journals, and secure external competitive grants. He/She will also undertake teaching duties and supervise postgraduate students.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
