Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the Department of Pathology (Ref.: 509065), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in biological or biomedical science. Experience in cancer genetics and cancer genomics including application of next-generation sequencing in cancer mutational study and genetic predisposition is essential. Applicants should have a strong interest in translational research, the ability to work independently as well as in a team, and the ability to contribute intellectually to research development.
The appointee will join a multi-disciplinary team to investigate the molecular mechanism of gastrointestinal tract cancer using multi-omics technologies. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Professor Leung Suet Yi at email@example.com.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
