About the opportunity

Our Organisational Development (OD) team is in a period of exciting development and transformation. As a result, we are seeking a Digital Learning Designer to advise on contemporary digital learning practices and solutions and to provide expertise on digital design and related technologies. Deploying your user-centric thinking, you will develop digital content integrated with in-the-moment tools, resources and communications to create a seamless learning experience.

In this role, you will partner with specialists in the OD team and other HR Centres of Expertise to build holistic and integrated digital learning solutions for portfolio-specific or university-wide implementation. Continually searching for high quality content, you will curate tailored learning materials adopting a co-design approach with your stakeholders and clients.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • create engaging digital learning content including graphics, workbooks, video content, imagery and digital learning content towards supporting an enhanced learner experience
  • advocate for new software and tools to increase the capability to create high quality, contemporary content
  • partner with University brand teams to ensure brand alignment and develop a suite of graphics and design elements to apply across OD solutions
  • partner with LMS Consultants and HR Systems teams to extract maximum value from LMS functionality in creating learning content at key moments
  • apply a project management approach in working with both internal stakeholders and e-learning providers, overseeing content development and alignment with brand templates, design protocols etc
  • support an increase in learning design governance and capability by establishing learning needs analysis, design and evaluation tools
  • share industry insights and University community of practice learnings across the function.

About you

  • technical capability and experience in digital and graphic design in relation to learning curriculum design, including contemporary content authoring software
  • proactive consultation with stakeholders and clients, delivering fit-for-purpose digital learning solutions within a multidisciplinary, complex organisation
  • strong initiative in problem solving and the ability to effectively communicate complex processes and concepts to relevant stakeholders
  • creativity and forward thinking in the development of digital learning materials for a high demand client base
  • outstanding presentation, communication and influencing skills to deliver messaging on a variety of channels to varied audiences
  • the ability to operate with a high degree of tact and professionalism across all levels of diverse internal and supplier environments
  • flexibility in their organisation and planning skills to balance competing agendas and demands in a fast paced, time pressured environment.
