About the role

Reporting to the Head of Media Relations, the role holder is responsible for helping to develop and implement Cranfield’s media relations strategy. This will involve working with senior staff across the University to deliver a wide-ranging programme of media relations activities to enhance the University’s reputation and distinctiveness.

In this role, you will research, develop and write news stories across the University, supporting University-wide media initiatives, content creation and activity.

You will also be a key member of the incident management/crisis communication team.

An experienced media relations specialist, you will ensure that activity is linked to the Schools’ and University’s strategic priorities, enhancing its influence, reputation and profile locally, nationally and internationally. 

About You

Communications and External Affairs (CEA) welcomes applications from media relations professionals for this role.

CEA is responsible for building and protecting Cranfield’s reputation, engaging with a range of stakeholders and raising awareness of Cranfield’s brand and its distinctiveness.

CEA is responsible for the communications, brand and content strategies, supporting the University’s strategic priorities and plans for growth.
