Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant in the Department of Anatomy and the Centre for Life Sciences - Neurobiology Program, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The Department has a strong Health and Biomedical Sciences research program, particularly in the key areas of neuroscience, neurological disorders, cancer research and regenerative medicine. Appointments will be made on a 1-yr contract basis, with the possibility of an extension.
Purpose of the post
The appointee will be a Research Assistant who will conduct research in molecular and behavioural neuroscience within a newly formed group at NUS, with a strong focus on elucidating the synaptic and circuit mechanisms that mediate memory-guided behaviours.
We are looking for an independent, enthusiastic and motivated candidate who will be part of a multi-disciplinary project.
Main duties and responsibilities
The candidate is expected to perform
- Mouse colony management and survival surgeries Molecular biology assays Help in lab procurement and other logistics
Qualifications
The applicant should have:
A bachelor’s degree. Research experience in molecular biology or neuroscience or a related field Remuneration is commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
