About the role
Federation University is offering skilled clinical psychologists a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to the education and training of our future clinical and general psychologists.
We have multiple positions available, working up to-two days per week at our Ballarat campuses.
You will be employed in either the private or public sector and seeking a part-time position, teaching (lecturing), assessing, and supervising students in our Master of Psychology (Clinical) and Master of Professional Psychology (5+1) programs
You will join a professional, collaborative and supportive clinical academic team to:
- contribute to the development and delivery of postgraduate courses
- provide clinical supervision to postgraduate students
The School of Science, Psychology and Sport offer a wide range of pathways and qualifications in psychology, human movement and sports sciences, biomedical and food science, environmental and conservation science as well as veterinary and wildlife science.
Within our Psychology program, we are proud to train our postgraduate students and support our community through the Federation Community Psychology Service (the Psychology Clinic) which provides psychological support for children, adolescents, and adults.
To be considered for this position you will have:
- A master’s or doctoral degree, or equivalent, in psychology
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Registration in Australia as a general psychologist with clinical endorsement
- Approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia
- A minimum of three-years-experience as a clinical psychologist
- Experience developing and delivering contemporary clinical psychology materials
- Experience providing clinical supervision.
Directions from Victoria’s Chief Health Officer require all Victorian-based Federation University workers to have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by 22 October 2021 and to be fully vaccinated by 26 November 2021, unless they are an Excepted Person as defined by the COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions.
