The Department of Mathematics invites applications and nominations for multiple tenured or tenure-track faculty positions (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor and Chair Professor) in all areas of Pure Mathematics, Computational and Applied Mathematics, Probability and Financial Mathematics, with an anticipated starting date of August 2023. Candidates should have demonstrated excellence in research and a strong commitment to teaching. A doctoral degree is required at the time of appointment. Candidates for senior positions must have an established strong record of research and leadership in their research area. The language of instruction can be either Chinese or English. Salary and start-up fund are highly competitive and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Regular faculty members (tenured and on tenure track) will be provided with generous housing subsidy.

Visiting Assistant Professor Positions in the Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) invites applications for several Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) positions in all areas of mathematics, commencing August 2022. Candidates should have a strong record and promise in research together with a commitment for excellence in teaching. A doctoral degree in mathematics or a closely related area is required at the time of appointment.

The VAP position is a three-year nontenure earning appointment. VAPs are expected to conduct vigorous research and perform quality teaching. The teaching load is the same as our regular tenure-track faculty members. VAPs affiliated with the newly founded SUSTech International Center for Mathematics will enjoy a reduced teaching load.
