Lecturer I / II (PR0197/21-22)
The appointee is expected to teach courses in the following areas: renewable and non-renewable energy sources, energy management, energy usage and environment, carbon auditing, energy storage and distribution, and smart technology such as Internet of Things. He/She will also need to fulfill some administrative duties related to curriculum design, programme development and promotion, supervision of student projects, internship and student affairs.
Applicants should have a PhD degree in Energy Science and Engineering, or related disciplines, preferably with two to three years of teaching or postdoctoral experience. Practical project experience in industry, government or non-governmental organisation will be very helpful. Applicants with less qualifications and/or experience will be considered for the post of Lecturer II.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of up to two years starting on or after 1 January 2022. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
