An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Computing team at Glyndwr University in a senior lecturing capacity.  We are looking to recruit a full-time Senior Lecturer to support our expanding Computer Science, Computer Networks & Cyber Security curriculum; in particular, the development, management and delivery of our on-line provision.

The post holder will be expected to deliver, and programme lead where appropriate, a wide range of programmes within Computing including our suite of postgraduate online programmes and to provide teaching on a variety of core computing modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Candidates must have evidence of Master’s level study in Computing, or a related technical subject, and either have a PhD in a relevant research field or be working towards one.   Ideally, the post holder will hold a relevant professional membership / accreditation and be committed to further professional and academic development. A teaching qualification relevant to Higher Education will be held, or commitment to achieving one will be required.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, with proven experience of writing, collating and submitting documents and in bringing together and coordinating teams.  The role is varied and challenging so you will need to be a highly self-motivated individual, who is able to work flexibly and to tight deadlines, both autonomously and as part of a team.  A commitment to developing innovative teaching practice including online and the ability to engage with transnational education partners and opportunities plus prior teaching experience at postgraduate and undergraduate level is required.

All applicants invited to interview will be expected to make a short presentation to the panel, based on a relevant subject to the role.

Welsh language skills are desirable for this role.
