The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a tenured faculty position in its Civil Engineering program in the broad area of sustainable, resilient, and smart structures. The opening is at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Candidates with a strong record of interdisciplinary research in emerging areas of structural engineering are preferred.

NYUAD has state-of-the-art research facilities in a modern 15-acre campus on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The core research infrastructure is especially noteworthy, with an extensive and exceptional range of instruments and capabilities, as well as high-performance computing facilities. In addition, the Engineering Division of NYUAD has close collaborations with the faculty and students of the NYU Tandon School of Engineering and has access to the world-class research centers and research infrastructure in New York.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD degree in Civil Engineering and must have demonstrated an ability to develop and lead high-quality research and attract competitive external funding.

NYUAD provides competitive start-up packages that are on par with the best in class as well as very competitive salaries and relocation packages to its faculty.

It is also expected that the successful candidate will become Associated Faculty of NYU that allows research privileges and access to programs and facilities at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering in New York.
