We are looking to recruit two full-time Lecturers (Teaching and Research track) within the Department of Counselling, Wellbeing, and Educational Psychology. These posts arise from an exceptional period of growth in the School of Education, as we invest in our research capacity.

We are seeking to appoint two positive, creative, and collegial, Lecturers with expertise and experience in Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy, or Counselling. We expect the postholder to undertake and to share high-quality research in line with our Research Strategy, and to enhance the School’s research profile. Ideally, you will have an existing record of international publication, attracting research funding, teamwork skills, an active interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach to research, and the ability and willingness to drive your research plans forward.

You will contribute to our existing and highly regarded undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well as having the opportunity to influence and develop new areas, subject to your expertise. Through collaborative planning and teaching, you will deliver excellent teaching and learning opportunities, as well as supporting students’ pastoral, learning, and assessment, needs. With a passion for a high-quality student experience, you will support the on-going embedding of a culture of research-enhanced teaching within the department.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7, £42,149 - £50,296 per annum and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK.
