Job Description

Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health:

A research associate position is available at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health to support the Principal Investigator in research project in the areas of Biostatistics and Clinical Trials.

Major duties and responsibility of the post includes supporting biostatistical research relating to issues of treatment non-compliance in randomised clinical trials. Other responsibilities include providing statistical input in the design, monitoring and analysis of clinical trials and other clinical studies.

Qualifications

The candidate must be an independent mature worker who is well-organized and has an eye for details. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. He/She must possess the ability to work effectively with colleagues to achieve team goals.

Good proficiency in the following areas is essential:

  1. Microsoft Office Applications, particularly MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  2. Statistical software such as Stata, R and SAS.

The successful applicant is expected to possess at least a Master degree in Medical Statistics/ Statistics. The grade of appointment will be accorded based on qualifications and work experience.
