Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Linguistics within UCD School of Languages. Applications are invited for a temporary appointment (3 years) as Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Linguistics in the UCD School of Languages, Cultures & Linguistics. Candidates should have teaching expertise in two or more of the following areas: acoustic phonetics, computational linguistics, second language acquisition, forensic linguistics. Candidates should have a strong interest in MA supervision and in the support of doctoral students, as well as an interest in developing graduate education and preparing students for the modern linguistics environment within and outside academia. UCD is a dynamic research-intensive university that is at the forefront of research and teaching activities across a wide range of disciplines. The School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics is a globally top-ranked, research-active unit with research and teaching interests in the fields of linguistics, literature, civilisation, history, history of ideas, politics and society of its target cultures, as represented by the languages and linguistics taught within the School. 95 Lecturer / Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale: €54,849 - €87,724 per annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines Closing date: 17:00hrs (local Irish time) on the 19th of October 2021.
