Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Lecturer in Literary and Creative Communication to join the English Programme.

We seek a specialist teacher with a growing research platform and/or public profile in innovative public writing. This role involves coordinating and teaching Literary and Creative Communication courses with a focus on areas of high student demand including creative non-fiction,public writing, and rhetoric and communication. The new appointee will also supervise student research projects, developing, with colleagues in Communication and English, Literary and Creative Communication as a dynamic and productive part of the University's creative research and teaching goals at postgraduate level.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds; a PhD in English, Rhetoric and Composition, Communication, or a related field; an emerging or established research agenda in one or more of these fields; and teaching experience in one or more of these fields.
