The Enterprise Architecture team is responsible for the strategy and planning of Information Services (IS) in alignment with University Strategy. The team will produce architecture blueprints, technology roadmaps and transition plans looking ahead for the next 5 years and support Innovation initiatives as required. The Enterprise Architecture team has four domains: Business Architecture, Information/Data Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture and Application Architecture across the technology landscape.

About the position

The position will be assigned to specific projects and / or experimentation initiatives and will be an active team member with the other senior members of the Enterprise Architecture team, contributing to team goals and the maturity of the architecture practice at La Trobe University. It is essential the position plays an active leadership role in any virtual team.

Skills and Experience

  • To be considered for this position, you will possess a degree with substantial extension of the theories and principles, learned through relevant work experience; or a range of specialist experience; or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant work experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience, i.e. experience in architectural frameworks, principles, methodologies, models, and standards, such as TOGAF or Australian Government Architecture Reference Models. 
  • Proven substantial experience as an Solution Architecture practitioner, across multiple Architecture domains, including leveraging appropriate emerging trends and technology, with expertise in the alignment of business strategy, technical strategy, and information lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to lead, and/or participate in, cross-functional teams with diverse subject matter expertise, including working collaboratively with operational or project teams to deliver timely and quality architectural services and outcomes (in the context of agile implementations, contemporary integration capabilities, and significant change management – organisational, business, or technical).
