Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 507883), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry with a strong background and experience in chemical synthesis, photophysical characterization and measurements, and functional materials.  Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese, good organizational skills, leadership skills, a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to work independently and self-motivation are essential.  The appointee is expected to work in interdisciplinary projects involving supramolecular and/or molecular functional materials for sensory applications, organic electronics and organic optoelectronics under the supervision of Professor V.W.W. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
