Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in Urban Analytics and/or Travel Modelling in the Department of Urban Planning and Design (Ref. 507833), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in transport, GIS, urban planning, or related fields, with strong track records in the following areas: mastery of at least one programming language (e.g., Python), hands-on skills in GIS, spatial visualization, and statistical analysis. Preference will be given to those with experience in publishing refereed publications and in competing for and managing competitive research grants.  Those who have a Master’s degree and at least 1 year’s post-qualification relevant experience may be appointed as Senior Research Assistant.

The appointee will work under the supervision of Dr. J. Zhou for research projects funded by a grant from the HKU’s Platform Technology Fund. He/She will contribute to the execution of the grant, publish refereed papers alone, or as co-author based on data compiled and collected by the grant, and help with new grant applications.
