About SWEE/Water

The School of Water, Energy and Environment (SWEE) hosts three Themes for Cranfield; Energy and Power, Environment and Agrifood, and Water. The School leads our institutional response on clean growth, climate adaptation and infrastructure renewal; key components of the green economy agenda.

The Water Theme is ambitious and comprises of the Cranfield Water Science Institute (CWSI) and the Centre for Competitive Creative Design (C4D), the Theme offers postgraduate taught and research degrees as well as short courses. The Theme also leads or is part of a number of Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs).

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and professional Personal Assistant to support the Director of the Water Theme. In addition to this, you will provide administrative support for a Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) and you will be responsible for managing the administration team for the Theme to ensure a high quality administrative support overall.

About You

This opportunity would suit a self-motivated Personal Assistant, who can make an immediate impact in the team.  You will be pro-active, with excellent interpersonal skills to support the Director of Theme and manage the admin support for a Centre for Doctoral Training and the Theme overall.  Excellent attention to detail with the ability to proactively manage complex diary commitments to meet tight deadlines is essential.  You will have a confident, friendly manner and be IT literate with experience in using a range of Microsoft applications.

You must have previous experience of managing communications and activities of a highly sensitive nature, with recognition of the importance of confidentiality.
