Company Description

This is an exciting time to join an organisation with an important role in the UK’s world-class higher education sector. Over the last year, the UK higher education landscape has adapted rapidly in unique circumstances and QAA's priority has been to support providers as they meet these challenges.

We are the UK's independent quality body for higher education with a mission to safeguard and improve the quality of UK higher education, wherever it is delivered in the world. QAA works as the designated quality body for higher education in England, and works closely with the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our new membership scheme was launched in August 2019. We're changing the way we work and introducing new services to benefit universities and colleges throughout the UK and support their operation globally.

Position

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Quality Specialist, who shares our commitment to improving and promoting the UK’s world-class reputation for delivering a quality higher education experience for all students.

This role within our International and Professional Services team is responsible for contributing to the development, delivery and management of QAA Global’s Accreditation and International functions. The role will work closely with relevant stakeholders and organisations, increasing the role, influence and standing of QAA and creating new business opportunities.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has experience of dealing with international clients and managing international activities, ideally within a higher education environment, as well as assuring academic standards and quality in a senior capacity.

You should have experience of UK quality assurance and academic standards, as well as transnational higher education, preferably through involvement in its development, management and continuous improvement. Ideally, candidates will also have experience of designing and delivering training in higher education and international contexts.

Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at a national or international level will be key to the success of this role.
