The School of Mathematical Sciences at University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) seeks to fill an academic position at the level of Associate Professor. The position is open to candidates with research interests in any field of Mathematics or Statistics.

The successful candidates will be expected to deliver lectures and seminars across all years of the undergraduate programmes and to supervise postgraduate research students. In addition, there are excellent opportunities for research, and the persons appointed will be expected to develop their own research activities and to play a leading role in the research activities of the School.

Displaying genuine passion and enthusiasm for scholarship, the successful candidate will foster academic leadership. You are expected to build a strong recognized research program contributing to the existing research groups within the Faculty. You are also expected to plan and lead the delivery of cutting-edge UG programmes within the School.

Salary will be within the range RMB580,035 – RMB688,900 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance). In addition, an attractive package including employment support allowance, schooling support and insurance will be provided for international appointments.

The post is available from September 2021 or as soon as thereafter and will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham Ningbo China for a period of up to five years. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
