An exciting research opportunity to develop a new mental health service!

The School of Pharmacy at the University of Lincoln have been successful in securing research funding from the NIHR to undertake a development and feasibility study. This is an innovative project that addresses to barriers to care for people in distress. The “Lifeguard” study will develop a response service for people in danger from suicidal ideation or domestic abuse to seek help from community pharmacies.

The postholder will work closely within a strong and supportive academic team, and with our external partners and networks on this project. We are looking for a candidate with a PhD, who has experience of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and has a genuine interest in improving access to care for people with mental health or social problems. 

This is a fixed-term post for 2 years. The post is with the School of Pharmacy and will be supervised by the Head of School who is the PI for the project. The postholder will also work alongside the Lincoln International Institute for Rural Health and the new Lincoln Clinical Trials Unit. This is an exciting postdoctoral development opportunity for an experienced researcher who wishes to make a real-world difference to people in distress.
