Previous experience of working in a gallery environment in a similar role is essential, along with a good knowledge of gallery engagement and learning, and a commitment to diversity, equality, inclusiveness and making contemporary art accessible to all.

John Hansard Gallery plays a dynamic role in the cultural life of Southampton and the region, through its locally engaged and internationally acclaimed programme. The relocation has increased the opportunity for greater impact, both in terms of artists’ production and reaching new and diverse audiences locally, nationally and internationally.
