Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Research Assistant/Post-doctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 504728) (to commence as soon as possible, until December 31, 2021, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

The appointee will work in the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project (JCECC) under the Faculty of Social Sciences.  The Project, started in 2016, aims at improving the quality of End-of-Life Care (EoLC), enhancing the capacity of service providers, as well as raising public awareness on life and death issues.  Details of the Project could be found at http://www.JCECC.hk.

Applicants should possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Mental Health, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Allied Health, Counseling or a related discipline.  They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).  Experience in undertaking research and training programmes related to EoLC would be an advantage.  Those with a Ph.D. degree and more relevant experiences may be appointed as Post-doctoral Fellow.

The appointee is expected to be involved in the training of volunteer, data collection, data analysis, report preparation, research paper writing, and perform any other duties as assigned.
