We are looking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Professor / Associate Professor to contribute to our provision in Occupational Therapy.

The post is based in the Department of Social Work, Education and Community Wellbeing, in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. Working in the Department you will be a member of a vibrant academic community that is multidisciplinary and committed to making a difference to the health and wellbeing of people and communities. You will be expected to contribute to high quality research, knowledge exchange and engagement with a range of stakeholders.

As a senior Academic colleague, you will assist the Faculty Pro Vice-Chancellor to maintain, enhance and improve the University’s national and international reputation in Occupational Therapy. You must demonstrate continuing academic attainment and achievement and provide academic leadership in Occupational Therapy, through contribution to your discipline and to the life and work of the Faculty and the wider University. This will include contributing to significant change within practice, the discipline, profession and/or community at regional, national and international level.

To be successful in this role you will have externally recognised research outputs of a quality that are internationally excellent in terms of originality, significance and rigour, and demonstrable success in securing research funding. Professionally qualified and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) you should also demonstrate academic leadership experience and strong standing with external bodies and networks in your field.

Currently,due to COVID-19, academic staff will normally be on campus for approximately two days per week when face to face teaching is scheduled,and as required to undertake research using specialist facilities.
