At TU Dresden, Faculty of Psychology, Institute of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, the Chair of Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience is offering a position as

Research Associate / PhD Student/ Postdoc
(Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L / E 14 TV-L)

starting October 1, 2021. The position entails 50% of the fulltime weekly hours and is limited for 3 years with the option for a limited extension or an indefinite extension. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position aims at obtaining further academic qualification (e.g. PhD/habilitation thesis). 

The chair is involved in clinical-psychological teaching in the bachelor's program "Psychology" and the master's program "Psychology with a focus on clinical psychology and psychotherapy". The research of the chair investigates the neural bases of socio-affective and -cognitive processes, their alterations in psychopathology (e.g. affective disorders or trauma) and plasticity through psychotherapeutic intervention. As one of Germany’s excellence universities, TU Dresden offers outstanding research infrastructure with the Neuroimaging Center (3 Tesla MRI, MRI-compatible 64-chanal EEG- and peripheral physiology-systems, TMS, Multicomputer-Lab for behavioral assessments).

Tasks: practice-oriented teaching, predominantly in the Master program “Psychology with a focus on clinical psychology and psychotherapy”; participation in the planning of courses; study coordination; clinical-diagnostic interviews, experimental/neuroscientific studies; thesis supervision and supervision of student assistants; data analysis; scientific publishing; participation in academic services and administration. 

Requirements: university degree in psychology, preferably PhD degree and started/advanced training in psychotherapy; teaching experience; publications in international peer-reviewed journals; interest in clinical-psychological and psychotherapy research; substantial expertise in statistics, experimental psychology and clinical diagnostics; very good knowledge of English; good knowledge of German; very good communication, organization and teamworking skills; working hour flexibility and professional handling of participant and patient contacts.
