Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England and has contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 170 years.

A vacancy has arisen for an Academic Registrar to lead our busy Academic Registry team. Providing leadership and vision, with a strong focus on improving the operational delivery of a range of administration services, the role is varied and wide-ranging.  The role involves providing advice to the Senior Management Team on matters connected to Academic Registry and working closely with the Academic staff and Heads of Departments. The role has a key responsibility maintaining knowledge of sector developments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and helping formulate new policies and procedures as required.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, have relevant experience of managing academic registry functions and have expert knowledge of the Higher Education sector. They will have knowledge of student record systems, student recruitment processes and quality and standards. They will have experience of managing and developing staff as well as operational leadership of academic registry, including the ability to influence others and initiate/implement policy changes. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, be self-motivated, proactive and organised.
