Research Culture Project Manager

Job Details

Applications are invited for a 18 months, part time post of a Research Culture Project Manager within Research Integrity Office.

UCD's Research Strategy 2021-2026, "Shaping the Future", signals actions to assess and optimise Research Culture across the organisation. We want every member of our research community to experience a positive culture that clearly values research and an environment that supports them to reach their full potential and to deliver on their ambitions. Promotion of a positive, supportive and productive research culture requires collective action from individuals and teams across the institution.

UCD now wishes to appoint a temporary Research Culture Project Manager to work with a wide range of key stakeholders across the University to ensure that the way in which we do research fully reflects UCD's values, ensuring all UCD researchers are supported to achieve research excellence with integrity. This stage of the initiative will take place over an eighteen-month period, during which the Research Culture team will pilot a suite of activities, and help to identify further actions leading to the embedding of positive Research Cultures in UCD.

Accountable to the UCD Research Integrity Officer and her Team, the Research Culture Project Manager will be responsible for driving the overall implementation process including the development and co-ordination of a detailed project plan with specific actions, management of logistics, action owners and timelines in order to ensure that the recommendations are implemented fully and in a timely manner.

This is a major UCD Research Initiative and the post holder will be required to work with a broad range of stakeholders across UCD including College and School Offices (e.g. Athena Swan Committees), EDI Group, the Research Staff Association & Careers Office, Students' Union, Graduate Studies, and other key stakeholders. The role will also require engagement with external experts.

Fixed Salary: €51,846 per annum, pro-rata
