Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Initial Teacher Education
Applications are invited for a Permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Initial Teacher Education within UCD School of Education The School of Education at University College Dublin seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education (ITE). This is a permanent post, commencing in September 2021. The appointee will be expected to work collaboratively with School of Education colleagues in the teaching (both face to face and online) of a range of modules within a suite of programmes in Initial Teacher Education. The appointee will also engage in research supervision at both Masters and Doctoral level. The successful candidate will ideally be a scholar who has completed a PhD in Education, and who has published in peer-reviewed academic journals, has papers in the review process or is preparing papers for such journals. S/he will have experience of teaching at postgraduate level and preferably teaching experience at post-primary level. The appointee is expected to participate actively in the academic life of the School and make a commensurate contribution to school administration. 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar Salary Scale: €54,848-€86,235 per annum.
