An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Coordinator to join NIHR ARC Wessex, as part of the Wessex Activation, Self-Management and Personalisation (WASP) Programme.  WASP is a regional training, development and support programme, focused on supporting health and social care services to implement principles of personalised care. The Project Coordinator will provide day to day operational management to the programme. They will coordinate all aspects of the workplan, to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of the programme objectives. The Project Coordinator will ensure that work is carried out in a timely fashion and that knowledge from research is transferred into the NHS for the benefit of patients.

You will have project management experience, ideally within an NHS or University setting. You will be able to demonstrate effective planning, management, and prioritisation of an extensive and varied workload, ensuring contractual agreements are met. The ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, and excellent communication skills, are a must.

The WASP programme is all about supporting clinical systems to implement the principles of Personalised Care into every day, routine service delivery.  Our approach recognises that the delivery of personalised care behaviours requires system wide support – from those who commission services to those who deliver them. It also requires an understanding of how personalised care is perceived by service users, and how they want to see this delivered. We deliver packages of training and support to clinical teams, enabling them to identify and implement improvements to practice. Our collaboration with NIHR ARC Wessex is enabling a research evaluation of this programme.

This post is offered on a part-time basis, working 21 hours a week (0.6 FTE). The work pattern is flexible for this post and is fixed term for 12 months.
