Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Chinese Medicine (Ref.: 504172), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree and proven experience in Molecular Pharmacology, Metabolomics, Chemical Biology and animal experiments.  They should be an outstanding and self-motivated researcher with proven research track record in international publications, with a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, and the ability to work independently.  The appointee is expected to be involved in various related research projects.  He/She will join a multidisciplinary research group to conduct the studies on drug discovery and explore molecular mechanisms of Chinese Herbal Medicine for cancer and metabolism diseases.  The appointee will also carry out new drug development study, assist in laboratory research activities, and have the opportunity to collaborate with scientists from HKU, the Mainland China and North America.  Enquiries about the duties of the post can be sent to Dr. Jianping Chen at abchen@hku.hk.  Applicants who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 503432) need not re-apply.
